Caffeine Fix: L’etoile & Loysel’s Toy
☁ Armed with my Superga, for another day of exploration ☁
Owen Road, home to L’etoile, first cafe of the day.
A good stroll from Farrer Park MRT, along beautiful shophouses.
Shop front. L’etoile is open from 9am-8pm, Tuesdays-Sundays.
The cafe also stocks goods sourced from Japan/Korea, from accessories to canvas art.
Furbished with vintage furniture and accessories, the 2nd floor of L’etoile is easily the best choice.
Cappucino, complete with coffee art & cookie on the side (which happened to be deliciously simple).
Touted as the cafe’s best-seller: the Smoked Pepper Duck Ciabatta. It was nicely flavored, though I think they could have gone easy on the pepper.
The place isn’t known for its coffee or food, but with decor like this, I could stay forever. But there isn’t enough time in the world, so move on I must.
Kampong Bugis. Slightly off Lavender MRT.
Hello Loysel’s Toy, I’ve procrastinated enough.
The must-order-as-long-as-it’s-on-the-menu: Affogato.
The cafe isn’t too difficult to find, but isn’t exactly convenient either. I probably won’t be returning any time soon, so I figured, might as well have another cuppa 😛
Got myself a little coffee accessory after some careful choosing. So many colors, so little cash. Hello, KeepCup!
Popped into Ukulele Movement, just to be around lovely ukuleles ♥
The area around Kampong Bugis is rather lovely. A nice stroll along Kallang River later, it was on foot to Haji Lane for a customary browse.
A nice, lazy day.
