A weekend of indulgence

The weekend was fun.

After the usual duties at SPCA, it was off to dinner with good friends before attending Hunk’s musical debut.

Made dinner reservations for 4 at 5pm, but turns out, Riders Cafe doesn’t serve dinner till after 6pm. Drinks had to suffice while we waited for an hour.

Thanks to early reservations, we managed to score a table with a view.

The crispy house seasoned fries helped kill time.

And finally, the dish that we waited an hour for. Only served on Friday and Saturday nights, the Pretty Damn Good Seafood Cioppino was worth the wait. At $65, it comfortably serves 2, with a generous portion of mussels, cockles, squid, prawns and crabs (though the crabs were mostly shell). Could have done better with more pasta though!

After a filling dinner, it was off to NUS Law Campus to catch Law IV (an annual performance staged by the year’s graduating batch of Law students).

Hunk’s musical debut.

With his punchlines, comic timing and boy-next-door sweetness, Hunk charmed half the auditorium.

Then, we had to wait in line to talk to him as the popular star gradually made his way through his hordes of fans.

For this picture, it was well worth the wait. We’re full of pride, Hunk 🙂

Then it was off to Tango’s at Holland Village for an ice-cool drink. Thank you for introducing the Rosemount ‘O’ Bay, Ms Lim! I now have something else to order besides Snowball 😀

Ah, Sunday. The day I return to work after a gorgeous Saturday.

Thank goodness for Colleague-Friends, who meet for dinner and help end the day better 🙂

The lovely Colleague-Friends.

We planned for Paradise Dynasty, but didn’t think it made much sense to wait 40-60mins for a table. Dinner was at Sho Teppan at ION instead.

Simple food at average prices. Comfort food for Sunday night.

And the night ends with conversations+laughs over coffee/tea/juice and a molten chocolate cake from Starbucks.
